1984
Jack McElligott, founder and President, establishes his Hytest territory in Houston, TX and Baton Rouge, LA.
2006
SSD acquires the Florida territory.
2010
SSD acquires the Alabama territory.
2023
SSD purchases Safety Wear LTD, and returns to the Golden Triangle.
2024
Safety Shoe Distributors creates their first private label brand, ‘84 Boots, as a culmination of industry lessons learned over the last 40 years.
